The Flying Needles Quilt Guild meets at the community hall on the second Saturday of the month. The meetings start at 9:30 am with a demonstration of a technique. A short meeting and sharing of news is followed by the inspirational "show and tell" session.

The afternoons are filled with a workshop during which time members learn and practice quilting skills. Charity projects are an on-going part of the guild. This year members will be making seasonal place mats to be distributed with Meals on Wheels and will be making neo-natal quilts for hospitals. Guild members are working on a large quilt to be entered into the Breast Cancer Auction. One and two day classes are scheduled throughout the year for members to learn new skills. The guild is a mix of new quilters, some people with a fair amount of sewing expertise and fantastic quilt artists. Everyone is welcome!
